Olutoyin Aimakhu (known as Toyin Abraham) is a well-known Nollywood actress, producer, director and filmmaker. She was born on the 5th of September 1984 in Auchi, Etsako in Edo state but spent most of her early life in Ibadan. Toyin attended St. Anne’s school to do her primary and secondary school and later attended the Ibadan Polytechnic where she graduated with a Higher National Diploma in Marketing.
Toyin started her journey through acting in 2003 when Nigerian film star, Bukky Wright came to Ibadan to shoot a movie. Toyin started featuring in minor role and gradually progressed in leading roles. As years passed, Toyin has directed, produced, and featured in several movies such as Celebrity Marriage (2017), Okafor’s Law (2016), What Just Happened (2018), Omo elemosho (2013), Disguise (2018) etc.
Toyin Abraham has gotten five nominations in the category for Best Lead Actress in an Indigenous Language in 2014, Best Actress of the Year (Yoruba) en in 2014, 2015 and 2017, Best Movie of the Year (Yoruba) in 2018, Best Actress in a Supporting Role in 2018, Best Movie Producer of the Year (English).
